3 Days, 3 Quotes Tag: Pressure
Well, here it is: the final day of the 3 Days, 3 Quotes Tag Challenge. It has been great participating in this challenge. It has given me a reason to write; and it has been nice doing so. Thank you to Richa, from Iscriblr, for the nomination.
My Take On The Quote
My final quote comes from the great writer, Ernest Hemingway. Since I have picked up this passion for writing, Hemingway has taught me multiple skills along the way. He’s taught me to be honest with my work. He’s taught me to omit, omit, omit; he’s taught me to shut off the writing brain when you’re not writing (something I find hard to do). But most important, he’s taught me to stick with what I know best, and write that.
This quote is something I (and I’m sure many procrastinator) can relate to. In fact, I should probably begin my writing assignment. I believe it’s due…um—tonight! The assignment is something I have to do; there’s no putting it off, and I love that feeling. It’s a pressure that pushes you to finish a piece of writing. For me, it’s like writing for a client: you have a deadline, and it must be met. With that said, it’s time to begin this paper.
Have a great evening, everyone!
