3 Days, 3 Quotes Tag

Hello everyone. I hope you’re all having an excellent weekend. For the first time *drumroll please* for the first time, I have been selected to participate in the 3 Days, 3 Quotes Tag!

This is history in the making, right here. This is huge! This may be as big as the first moon landing. Who can say for sure? Anyway, this is all thanks to Richa from iSciblr. I’m honored, and I hop I do this challenge justice. Here we go!

My Take On The Quote

How do you define success? Is it the job that you hold? Is it the amount of money you accumulate? Maybe, success is the number of chicken wings you can eat at a contest. Or the amount of numbers you can get at the bar. Whatever your version of success may be, is it really success? And if it is, how do we measure it?

While many of us dream of seeing our faces on T.V., or making the next hit song, it may not be a reality for some. I, for example, do not have the capability to be the next great mathematician; and I probably won’t be winning any Grammy Awards any time soon. But that’s alright! Because for me, success is knowing that I did the best that I could do.

This can be tough! I certainly have a tendency to be jealous of others around me (I am human, after all). However, if I am to compare myself to others, then I will never have that peace of mind. Instead, I will look in the mirror, give my face a real stern look, and ask: “Did you do your best today? Huh! Did you?” And if my answer to the silly-looking face in the mirror is yes, then to me, that is success.
